Vita Ph.D. Professor Michael Schupp
Michael Schupp studied pharmacy at the Universities of Regensburg, Cardiff, London, Madrid and Munich. In 2005 he earned his PhD, supervised by Prof. U. Kintscher and Prof. T. Unger at the Institute for Pharmacology, Charité Universitätsmedizin in Berlin. He performed parts of his doctoral work at the Institut Pasteur, University of Lille in Prof. B. Stael's group. Afterwards he spent 5 years as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia, USA with Prof. M. Lazar, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism as a mentor.
In 2010 he returned to Germany as a Emmy Noether Group Leader at the Charité, Division for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutritional medicine in the CCR. Since August 2013, Michael Schupp is an Associated Professor of Molecular Pharmacology and Metabolism at the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
