MD, Assistant Professor Elena Kaschina

Elena Kaschina studied medicine at the St.-Petersburg State I.P.Pavlov Medical University. After medical approbation she worked as an internist at the hospital. 1995 she obtained MD degree based on the experimental work at the Institute of Pharmacology, Medical Academy St. Petersburg. 1999 she received a Grant from Otto Benecke Stiftung in order to continue research at the University of Kiel. 2005 she built up her research group at the Institute of Pharmacology, the Center for Cardiovascular Research (CCR). From 2010 she is passing her habilitation in experimental pharmacology. Her research is focused on vascular and cardiac remodelling and drug development.
