New project funding AG Schupp by the German Research Foundation (DFG) on the function of retinol Saturase to further dissect its impact on the cellular response to glucose
Prof. Dr. M. Schupp has acquired a 3-year project funding from the DFG for studying the function of Retinol Saturase (RetSat). The aim of this funding is to investigate how the oxidoreductase RetSat influences the sensing and metabolism of glucose in different cell types. New knowledge about these mechanisms could help to develop therapeutic strategies targeting RetSat for metabolic diseases such as type 2 diabetes.
